Unlike essential oils, fragrance oil producers don't have to disclose what ingredients they use. Many contain chemicals linked to hormone disruption, allergies and breathing issues, so we don't use them. We only use essential oils that can be traced to the farms that produce them.
The FDA allows anyone to claim their soap is "natural" as long as they use 90% natural ingredients, regardless what those other ingredients are. That's why you'll see "natural" soap companies with "fragrance" or artificial colorants listed in the ingredients. We only use high quality, all natural ingredients: moisturizing oils (like olive oil and shea butter), essential oils (like cedarwood and vetiver), natural exfoliants (like ground walnut shell and volcanic pumice), and natural colorants (like indigo and annatto seed).
Most soap companies cure for a week or two, which produces a softer bar that lasts half as long as ours. We'd rather provide you with a good product than offer a shorter lasting bar so you have to buy more.
